Priorities

As a proud Milpitas resident of almost 20 years, I have actively engaged in public service through various avenues, including my military background, 5 years of dedicated service on the Milpitas Planning Commission, and support for veterans as a Veterans Commissioner and the Milpitas High NJROTC program. With my eldest daughter in college, my family and I continue to see an opportunity for me to expand my contributions to our community.  I am eager and prepared to bring fresh perspectives, proactive solutions, and dedicated leadership to our city council. My goal is to ensure that Milpitas thrives and prospers for generations to come. With your support, I am confident that we can work together to build a brighter future for our city. Furthermore, I pledge to uphold principles of transparency, civility, and professionalism in government. Our residents deserve a city council that operates with the utmost transparency and conducts itself with civility and professionalism at all times. While disagreements may arise, it is imperative that our residents understand the reasons behind them. As members of the city council, we must prioritize civility and maintain the highest standards of professionalism in our conduct.
KEY PRIORITIES
Public Safety
I'll prioritize supporting our exceptional Milpitas public safety and first responders. This entails securing funding, competitive recruitment, and vital equipment to uphold and enhance public safety standards. Neglecting their support risks slower responses and increased crimes like home burglaries, porch piracy, and retail thefts.  As a councilmember, I'll ensure our community's safety by fully supporting our public safety personnel.
Optimizing Economic Growth
Optimizing economic growth is essential for Milpitas to generate revenue and support the city's development. To achieve this, we need to revitalize key areas and attract businesses that meet the needs of our residents and fit strategically within the city. I will advocate for businesses that contribute to community growth and actively promote innovative companies to establish a presence in Milpitas, thereby creating local job opportunities. By fostering strong partnerships between businesses and the community, we can drive the sustainable economic growth needed for Milpitas to thrive and prosper
Fiscal Responsibility
Fiscal responsibility means managing taxpayer dollars wisely while delivering the essential services our residents depend on and not on frivolous and unnecessary spending. As a Milpitas City Council member, I will support balanced budgets, prioritize public safety and infrastructure, and ensure every spending decision is guided by transparency, accountability, and long term financial sustainability. Taxpayer dollars should be invested in projects that provide clear value to residents, not on frivolous or unnecessary expenditures. I will work to ensure every dollar is spent in the best interest of our community.
Housing
Housing is one of Milpitas' most pressing challenges, and I will advocate for smart, responsible housing policies that expand opportunities for families, seniors, and young professionals without compromising the character of our neighborhoods. I will support well-planned development that includes affordable housing, is backed by the infrastructure and public services our community needs, and ensures Milpitas remains a safe, vibrant, and affordable place to call home
Infrastructure Improvements
I am committed to enhancing public works projects, particularly our aging infrastructure. It's evident that many of our vital systems require attention and upgrades. I will advocate for improvements across various areas, including addressing traffic congestion in heavily traveled areas and tackling issues such as street flooding and potholes. By prioritizing these infrastructure improvements, we can ensure a safer, more efficient, and resilient community for all residents.
